Any qualified tax exempt organization serving Idaho may apply to the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation. Particular grantmaking priorities include outreach and educational programs for children, and programs in underserved communities and for underserved populations. Prior grants made can be seen on our IRS filings at www.guidestar.org. The Foundation does not limit giving to a certain type of program or need (i.e.: programs, equipment, bricks and mortar, salaries and benefits), however administrative costs are not preferred. We are interested in organizations run in a cost-effective manner and serving large numbers of people who are truly in need.
IF YOUR ORGANIZATION IS AWARDED A GRANT, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO FILE A GRANT CONTRACT (NEW) AND A REPORT USING THE SUBMITTABLE PLATFORM. Please ensure that the organization you are applying for will have access to this Submittable account to file that report which will be attached to applications after they are accepted. We recommend you store your login credentials in a manner that they will be available to your whole team and/or any successors to your position. We can not help you access your application, and you will need to access it to file your report in the future if you receive a grant. Failure to file the report will make your organization ineligible for future awards. Save your user name and password!
YOUR SUBMITTABLE ACCOUNT EMAIL WILL BE THE PRIMARY WAY WE CONTACT YOU REGARDING YOUR APPLICATION AND THROUGH THIS SUBMITTABLE PLATFORM. Please ensure that the organization you are applying for will have continued access to this email to receive notifications regarding awards and reports. You may not think you're going to get a new job, but over the years we have had significant headaches over trying to contact organizations where someone left and our notifications did not get received or answered. Keep this in mind and consider using an institutional email (i.e.: grants@yourorg.org). Messages/notifications will also be available within your Submittable account so please safeguard your login and password as well and pass on to your successor. We cannot access your account for you, we do not have access to any passwords or logins. That is your responsibility! You can change your Submittable account email through settings. Application submission opens February 15 and closes March 31 at 5:00 p.m. PLEASE SUBMIT APPLICATION EARLY! Due to the high volume of last minute requests for assistance, THERE WILL BE NO TECHNICAL OR OTHER ASSISTANCE WITH APPLICATIONS AFTER 5:00 p.m. on Friday March 20, 2026. Please, please, please do not wait until one minute before the submission deadline! Remember, the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation has no paid staff, only volunteers, and we are not prepared to deal with a flood of last minute issues. Maybe consider setting yourself an internal deadline of March 20 or earlier.
